We've put very little effort into making things clear, largely because we been working really really hard on making iPap work, so I'm pretty sure you'll have questions. As soon as we've squashed the bugs and tidied the design up, rest assured user experience will be top of our list. If you have a question or suggestion drop us an email info@ipap.me. Thank you for your patience.
iPap is a celebrity spotting service. Whenever you see a celebrity out and about, iPap them and let the world know where they are and what they're up to. Everytime you spot a celebrity you'll score points and climb up our Top iPapers table.
BACK TO TOPBecause we're not finished. We're still ironing out some of the functionality. The site is finished enough for people to begin using it (and giving us feedback about it), but expect bigger and better things, and the odd bug here and there...
BACK TO TOPThe golden rules of iPap are not to unduly annoy any celebrities, don't stick your iPhone in people's faces or put yourself in a position where you could get injured. If you want to know more check out our Terms of service.
BACK TO TOPThere are going to be quite a few different ways you can do this in the future, but for the moment whip out your iPhone and go to ipap.me in Safari. You will be asked if you want to allow Safari to access your current position, Select 'yes'. Of course if your iPhone isn't handy you can always go to the Add spot page on the website and add an iPap.
BACK TO TOPYou can iPap anyone who's a celebrity, although we realise this is a fairly loose term, so if in any doubt iPap them. Remember just because you think Paul Danan is a rubbish celebrity, to somebody else he might be celebrity gold.... In reality he probably isn't but it would be nice to know he's keeping well.
BACK TO TOPWe're almost there on that side of things, we'll let you know when it's running. In the mean time why not check out our twitter feed?
BACK TO TOPIf somebody else iPaps the same celebrity as you, in the same place, at the same time, your iPap will be confirmed, and you'll score extra points. If you're the person that spots the celebrity in the same place you'll get an assist.
We'd like to think this will happen a lot (because it would be cool) but deep down we suspect it wont. The best idea is to tell as many people as you can about iPap and get them out spotting too!
The iPap rankings are pretty simple, you get 100pts for every iPap you post. If one of your iPap's gets confirmed (by another iPapper) you'll get an extra 500pts. If you're the other iPapper doing the confirming you'll get 25pts. There's no prizes for getting to the top of the list, it's just for the sheer glory.
BACK TO TOPIt's unlikely Scarlett Johansson will be rifling through the bargain bin in Tescos. If somone's deliberately posting crap please let us know. iPap's more fun when everybody's working together towards the common good - a world of tracked celebrities.
BACK TO TOPThere sure is, it'll be a suped up version of the mobile site and will make iPapping a lot easier, we'll let you know when it's up and ready to go.
BACK TO TOPYou should but the iPhone doesn't allow you to upload files as you would do on a normal website. Being able to add photos is one of the key reasons we're building the iPhone app.
