A new look for Mischa Barton...

...and guess what, its another not-very-good one! Think fancy dress party at the Student Union, a trip to Oxfam, enough cheap booze to float a battleship, waking up confused and hungover on a park bench and just being able to scrape enough shrapnel together for a nice big bottle of Lucozade. Thank goodness you didn't lose those hilarious specs though!

Well that's at least how the Daily Mail are describing this outfit. We've consulted with our independent fashion advisor, and ascertained its "not that bad".
All things considered though we don't think this look is likely to be landing Mischa any plum acting roles. For example, we can't see her playing the part of a supermodel who's returned to the fashion scene after a mysterious disappearance.... which is probably why The Beautiful Life bombed.

Sad news reaches us that the former OC star has been dumped yet again, this time by English DJ Ali Love.
The word on the street is that Love was not ready for the sort of attention you get for riding the Barton rollercoaster. A source reveals "He was expecting they'd get some attention, but he never imagined it would be as bad as it was."

Mischa Barton off the booze

Not only is Mischa off the booze, but she's also been trying to convince her pal Amy Winehouse to sober up. According to multiple sources, Mischa tried to convince Amy that being drunk at 8 in the evening wasn't a good thing....
Obviously this did not go down well with Amy, in fact Mischa would probably have had an easier time trying to convince the Pope that God doesn't exist.
We'd pay good money to watch that particular catfight, (Mischa vs Winehouse not Mischa vs the Pope) but all we can say is "Go Mischa!" We look forward to many more days of Righteous Crusading.

The Bartonometer was about to swing into the green to celebrate Mischa looking great at the Marc Jacobs fragrance launch at Harvey Nichols.
But then we spotted this truly bizarre outfit, which is so wrong on so many levels, its the sort of thing you'd imagine Jodie Marsh in.... and after the last dodgy skull outfit, the Bartonometer is going into the red!

Word reaches us that Mischa Barton has signed up for the upcoming movie Into the Darkness. A tale about teens that sign up for a creepy-sounding movie and then find themseleves hungry when a leading cast member munches their way through the entire film's catering supplies....
Bartonometer wise I think signing up for a film can only be considered a good thing, but I'm a bit concerned that they already have a poster with no room for Mischa, maybe I can help out....

It's kind of a good job we didn't decide to go for a Lilo-o-meter, we’d need more red in it. And a special 'tears' segment.
So week 1, Mischa at Philipp Plein Boutique Opening in Saint-Tropez having presumably stolen Avril Lavigne’s dress. Dress aside I'd say that was a pretty safe middle of the road start for things.
